The Hanover House, a recognized Three Diamond AAA Inn, provides a great value for guests with the charm of a country home and the convenience of a village inn. We are a five minute walk to town, 10 minutes to the ferry and within a few minutes to all the necessary transportation on the island.

The Hanover House's individually decorated, and well maintained rooms, provide a warm and comfortable place to start and end your day. Each room offers luxurious bedding, spa quality towels & robes, a private bath, air conditioning (heat in the winter), iron and ironing board, hair dryer, personal care amenities, High Definition Television, telephone and wireless internet access. Each morning we offer a substantial breakfast that includes special homemade waffles, egg dishes, potatoes, and standard continental items. On a first come first serve basis, we also provide bicycles.

The grounds provide a secluded feeling, even though the Inn is just a short walk from town. The Hanover House is owned and operated by Steve Perlman, a retired academic and business man. As the son of an academic, Steve grew up spending his summers on the Vineyard. Since that time, the Island has remained a constant "home" in his life. Martha's Vineyard was even the backdrop for his doctoral research.
